Microsoft released today supports the KinectRobotics Developer Studio 4 suite, which is a robot framework for programming and management that can be downloaded for free. This package will be added to support it. NET Framework 4.0, XNA 4 and Silverlight 4. Most exciting is, it will also include support for using Windows Kinec SDK 4 in a Kinect sensor.

In order to better help users integrate these new features, Microsoft also gives a new hardware design, including automatic navigation of the video shown below are based on Kinect. And Parallax Eddie robot Kit has built-in.

As early as December of last year, Microsoft released a beta version for Robotics Developer Studio 4 suite, Microsoft’s own developers have been in use for some time–it is a dog sitting in front of a remote tele robot to interact with master. Latest version of Robotics Developer Studio 4 should be more stable than beta. While the MRDS 4 is not a prerequisite for designing Kinect robot, but we would be happy to see Microsoft in the Development Kit supports a lot of developers have been looking for replacement hardware.
