April 1st, 2012 No comments

Thanks Amoy Fox post
When Microsoft launched at the turn of the Millennium when the Windows XP, no one can be certain to know what it can bring to the world. The operating system will become a classic products like Windows 98 or a Windows Me disappoint users of products? Now everything has a conclusion. XP has been published for over 10 years, it is generally believed that, this is one of the best Microsoft replacement versions of the operating system.

Even though Microsoft has launched its two successor product (Editor’s Note: Windows Vista and Windows 7), but many companies are still using XP.

But now that the time has come, enterprise is the time to cut off links with the XP. Yes, it is indeed a good operating system, supporting all of your accessories and application, but its time has passed! XP has established is very backward. At this point, Windows 7 easier and more stylish or MacOS x Lion has more and more to capture the market.

The following 10 reasons, can demonstrate why Windows XP in the functions of the Office should be removed:

1. it is out of date

There is no doubt that you can still use XP settings and updates to complete all of your work. But no matter what you do, XP was not so cool. From the design to the sluggish performance of the internal application, it’s time to bring something new to XP.

2. security issues

Now can run XP Service Pack 3, but it is far from being as safe as you think. Windows 7 and even Mac OS x Lion performance is much better. If security is important to you, then you should consider something other than XP.

3.XP model has been integrated into Windows7

Many companies say they want to keep the XP, because they are in use, have also used Windows XP for all applications and accessories. However, with the introduction of Windows 7, this is not a very good reason. If you deploy Windows 7 ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise Edition, you can get include a virtual version of XP.

4. not to be locked in Windows8

If you wait too long without applying the new operating system, so you are likely to be in the future locked inside the Windows 8. But now Windows 7 for enterprise, has proven to be a very valuable operating system. So, are you still waiting for the unknown: Windows 8?

5 employees are using the new operating system

Maybe you do not know your employees already in private in Windows 7. Opportunity comes, it is a very good thing, they are familiar with the new operating system, you won’t have to worry about spending money to train them, you don’t have to put up with loss of productivity during the training period.

6. Mac OS x probably is a better choice

If you don’t have to do business with Microsoft operating systems, then you can consider Mac OS x Lion. Apple’s system is more secure than XP, design is also more aesthetically pleasing. And Apple’s app store to ensure that your applications need. At least, you should consider.

7. reasonable prices

Mostly CIO budget is very limited, and what do not want to configure what the configuration. But with the decline in PC market, this new PC purchases is a very good time. Like HP, Dell, Lenovo and other manufacturers are trying to attract new customers to adjust their own prices. Eliminate XP, cost much less than you think.

8.Windows Vista is not the problem

If you stick to XP because you don’t like Vista, so you can rest assured that replace Windows 7, because Windows 7 is not Vista. Windows 7 has a lot of features you like. You’ll love the high quality of the operating system.

9. competitive enhancement

As CIO of enterprise, you need to think about the current industry’s competitive landscape and your C’level what they will do next. They are likely to want to deploy a new operating system, because this new operating system can bring to their advantage of much more than XP, this will enhance the efficiency of enterprises. All you have to do, is to translate that advantage into a reality.

10. your business needs based on the future

No one knows what will happen in the future. But Microsoft has been moving forward on this issue is to be sure, developers and fittings will also be followed up. Now out of XP, you base a future, no matter how revolutionary change in the future, your company is the best way to deal with that.

One-third computer Windows XP still has 10 years old

March 23rd, 2012 No comments

Windows family currently holds the global operating system market share of 80%, owned by one or two broken down Win 7 and Win XP operating system. Should have replaced Vista instead of XP system did not complete eliminate XP’s task, but was suppressed until now users have only about 5%. World’s largest repository of W3Schools Web technology, a new data show that launched in August 2001, XP still has market share of 32.8%.

Microsoft Win 7 system launched the peoples attention in 09, but most users do not already have an operating system upgrade on a computer, so until November 10, 47% XP machine still accounts for all of the operating system. As new computers are pre-loaded with the period Win share of 7,XP began to gradually decline, Win 7 share is from 28.5% has up to now six. In other operating systems of Microsoft, only 5.5% computer running Vista system was short-lived, is surprising, more distant Windows 2003 still 0.7% of the user, the chart did not give in and 98 operating system market share, I think this should be good news, as the two operating systems are so behind.

Less than 20% of the operating system market is carved up several other systems, Linux OS’s market share remained stable at 5%, Apple’s operating system Mac OS installed capacity increased only slightly, from rose to the this year’s 8.8% per cent in November 2010. But the conflict data and other data, because under the United States investment bank Trinidad Lyme information released last month showed, Apple’s market share of Mac systems should only 5.2% per cent of the global PC market.

Microsoft in April 2009 announced the end of mainstream support for XP, but it’s 64-bit XP SP3 system and extended support for XP SP2 system service extended to April 2014 years. Although XP has covered a glorious decade, but compared to other systems, it is outdated. Microsoft win 8 system will be introduced next year, according to the development trend of the operating system, XP’s market share will fall further. By 2014, we never see also installing the XP system PC. (Text/shell),
