Anandtech tested 5 major browsers including:
· IE8

Well-known market research agency Net Applications released today the browser market in August, while the slight changes in the browser market share, but the overall trend remained and the same: IE is still the market leader, but market share continues to shrink, steady growth of Firefox, Safari is still third, Chrome and Opera although little market share but also to maintain good growth. In General, in addition other IE and Safari browsers have different levels of growth.
Comparing July share, IE in the August market share slipped 0.71% (reduced from 67.68% to 66.97%), Firefox is up 0.51% (from 22.47% to 22.98%), Safari remains the same, Opera still catch up with the growth of Chrome, it just moved 0.07%,Chrome up 0.25%.
IE6 IE versions still enjoys maximum share of 25.25%; followed by IE7 market share for 21.1% and IE8 only reaches 15.1%, perhaps only situation of publishing can really change IE8 Windows 7 IE8 Compatibility mode share for 2.46%. In addition, Firefox 2 shares for the amount 1.37%,Firefox 3 8.88%;Safari 4 12.48%,Firefox 3.5 places for 2.55%;Chrome 2 shares for the amount 2.50%;Opera 9.X share is 1.76%.
