Walkley said: “in our view, since its iPhone 4S in the Verizon platform sales, Android smart phone system sale may exceed the platform for the first time 50% of the total smartphone sales. ”
Walkley survey found that iPhone 4S in the Verizon platform performance, than AT&T and Sprint Smartphone platform Android system growth is strong. Walkley pointed out, leading to this situation for two reasons, one of them is the Verizon LTE 4G technology product sales, also are many Verizon users to buy iPhone 4 from a year ago, these users had signed a two-year service contract, which limits demand for iPhone 4S.
Walkley said, while sales for LTE for Verizon 4G promotional technology product, but the iPhone 4S is still the most popular smartphone Verizon.
Walkley also lifted Samsung Electronics Smartphone shipments expected in the first quarter of this year, he expects Samsung Electronics Smartphone shipments will reach 41 million in the first quarter, more than 12.5 million of 32.6 million of Apple and Nokia as the world’s largest smartphone handset vendors in shipments. Walkley also raised forecast for global Smartphone shipments this year to 723 million does not, previously expected to 695 million.
