| I’ve had this drive for about 8 months, and the physical drive is working fine. I was suspicious about the slider when I bought it, and yes it did wear out, becoming loose after about a month and ceasing to catch about about 2 months. But the actual USB drive, the part that counts, is working like a champ. I keep it on my keychain, and the little wire jump ring they sent with it pried apart, but it was easily replaced with a mini key ring I had lying around the house. While the drive slides back and forth in the plastic housing, it hasn’t fallen out of it yet. If it ever does that, I’ll probably still keep using it and put it in my wallet, it’s that thin.
Also the matte grey coating is just paint, and has mostly worn off to show a shiny aluminum like color beneath. Not sure why they didn’t just leave it that color.
Props for having the smallest form factor to storage size ratio of any USB drive I’ve seen. It’s almost like a mini-SD. |
